GNU Cash

Has anyone tried to use GNU Cash http://www.gnucash.org/ in an Irish context?

It's a [free] glorified double-entry bookkeeping system. However, I like its apparent simplicity but the absence of an Irish user base leaves me a little cold.

Any comments or pointers as to where one could learn more (e.g. examples, chart of accounts etc).

I have never heard of the product, but I suspect that you are better off with a product which has an Irish user base and has been adapted for Irish VAT etc.
