Gmail calender sync on blackberry

I have a Blackerry Pearl and I am on the Vodafone network.

I have just downloaded the google tool for sync'ing your gmail calender with your balckberry calender.

When I try to log on I get the error "Logon failed. Your phone doesn't support end-to-end secure connections......."

Anybody had this problem? More importantly anybody fixed it?

My google searches have pointed me in the direction of the APN / TCP settings but I am still at a loss.........

Logon failed, your phone doesn't support end-to-end secure connections.

This sounds like a TLS error. You may be [broken link removed] needed to validate the public certificate on google's calendar site. I ran into something similar when trying to use the gmail applet on my mobile phone and was able to fix it by installing a new certificate.

Alternatively you may need to change the APN / TCP settings as you say -- talk to your mobile service provider for the correct settings for a data plan / tethered internet access.
