Glenview Hotel, Wicklow

Re: Glenview Hotel

Had lunch there recently and the food was absolutely awful! The location is nice - not sure what the rooms are like.

Re: Glenview Hotel

Stayed there April this year. Rooms basic but nice. Located just off the motorway but never noticed any noise. Good leisure centre / pool.

Restaurant v good at dinner time. Not much to do at the location but is a good base for touring Wicklow etc.

May be buses on the route but I would think a car is a must here.

Re: Glenview Hotel

A car is a definite. The new road makes getting in and out of the hotel difficult. Not much to do in the area maybe climb the sugarloaf, visit Glendalough, visit Greystones, nice golfcourse, visit Avoca Handweavers and Powerscourt/Enniskerry.

Re: Glenview Hotel

stayed there around 3 years ago. hotel was fine. room was ok but was at back and not facing the glen. noise was not a problem. nice gardens to front. very disappointed with meals. Dinner had to be taken in the bar and off the bar menu. breakfast was upstairs in the dining room. leisure centre was good but busy with classes a lot of the time.

Re: Glenview Hotel

Stayed there a couple of years back for a wedding ... over priced definately. Rooms were only okay ... small and dated/worn furnishing. Service as I remember it was not up to much.
