Glenford Construction !!!!

Hi, just wondering if any one has had any dealings with Glenford Construction or who can help me PLEASE !!! We're buying a new house, built by Glenford, and requested some extras eg outside tap, elec sockets and they want payment in advance. Is this normal practice ???

Don't know about Glenford but we had an outside tap and extra power outlets done in a new house a couple of years ago and had to pay the builder up front. I forget their name.
