Glass tiles.......how to cut?

Right, in lieu of a one-piece glazed splash back, we ended up using glass tiles in the kitchen. They are almost clear, with maybe a small tint.

The issue I have is that some of them need to be cut - our tiler has gone through, tbh, too many, trying to get them right.

The issue is, they don't seem to cut on a conventional cutter, and using a diamond blade only fractures the edge, often shattering the tile.

Has anyone done this, or know how to do it ?

Fwiw, I've tried the tile shop, and, well, I'm afraid..................I know more than they do on the subject, and that's not much !!

I did a google search on "how to cut a glass tile".

I was presented with quite a bit of information about how to cut a glass tile (also some videos).

You can cut a glass tile in the same manner as cutting a pane of glass (scoring, and breaking, takes a bit of practice, but google it, and you'll find out.

Hi

To cut a small piece of glass, as opposed to a pane, you score with a hand held glass cutter, hold the tile across the score line and tap along the line gently with the other end of the cutter, you can almost hear it break if you are gentle enough, the tone changes as the cut grows along the line, then gently putt the two pieces away and down from each other
