Anyone any ideas on where to get some nice kids presents to bring to family abroad. Ages 4-8, boys and girls.

I'd like to bring something that's a bit different to what's available in UK shops. I tried Avoca and lots of what I saw came from the UK so that's no good. Their selection of childrens clothes is pretty poor now too.

I was thinking about clothes, toys or sweets. I usually bring books so don't want to do that this time. I'd like to bring something Irish made if possible, if not just something a bit different.

How about some musical instruments, like bodhran, tin whistle. Also little ones love all those gimmicky irish pens, rulers stuff you can get in those Irish gift shops. We brought these to kids in Oz and they loved them especially the bodhrans.

There's a good variety of stuff in the Tourism office in Andrew Street (off Grafton St). It's a bit "Oirish" but not as tacky as say Carrolls. They have a lot of things from small toys, novelties, clothes, T-shirts, etc.
