Hi not sure where to post this but trying 2 places,, just out from my divorce proceedings,, agreed to buy ex out of house with 80,000 that dp is going to get from selling his app,, two questions
1. do i have to pay gift tax on this as were not married
2. will i have to pay stamp duty when ex signs house over to me in about 4 to 6 months as we wont be married anymore,,
just wish someone had told me these things before i agreed to above sum thanks for any help
