Looking at property for the some time now, started while living in the U.K. recently returned home after a 10 year absence. Saw the following property on internet and thought nothing of it till I pulled into Kilcoole train station and saw it. A bloody oversized dog box in the cornerof the car park for 120,000

[broken link removed]

about half way down the page.

"This is an ideal holiday home/investment opportunity on circa 1/6 of an acre in an spectacular location with Kilcoole beach on your doorstep. Neptune is timber framed structure with a felt roof. The property includes an outdoor chemical toilet. Gas cooking and heating."

They forgot to mention the great big car park and everybody walking past to get to the train station, which by the way is between you your wooden box and the sea and the only view you have while relaxing in your new front garden is the back of the many parken cars. You just got to laugh at the people who write these descriptions.

Saw the opposite a few years back - genuine description in a genuine estate agents (but obviously done as a joke)

Something like:

"vaguely house-shaped pile of bricks for sale. Will break your heart. All offers considered"

Green Valley Properties is the one you are after - always good for a few giggles....

http://www.gvp.ie/

e.g. "House has been empty for decades, and is now house shaped pile of stones with a hawthorn tree growing inside, and full of brambles....Major project for the adventurous. Could be wonderful"

he's nothing but straight up!
"Extension to the rear which houses the kitchen and bathroom is best demolished"

Here's my favourite for today

"There are extensive views from the back of the house across open country which at present are obscured by mature leylandia trees. The good news is that they burn well when dry, and the house does have solid fuel heating."
