gift of property

we bought my mums council flat 3yrs ago can she now sell it and give the money to us value £75000, we are going to let her stay rent free in our flat, would the gift of this money affect her state pension she is 80yrs old.

Who bought it, your mother or you? Is this an Irish property?

we paid for it but put it in her name as she was the tenant, this is in scotland.
