Gift of a break for the folks...suggestions please

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions........in December my mother is due to finish a course of medical treatment so I'd like to pack herself and the auld lad off on a break for a few days. I dont have the resources of NAMA to spend so im looking for somewhere a bit warmer than Ireland in January for about 4 days. Theyre not big on activities so thats not a huge consideration.

Thoughts would be much appreciated

My folks went to Jersey a few years and loved ago, and really enjoyed it good. The journey is quite short, temp is nice, not too hot for their age.

Nice, France... is a good option. Cheap short flights with Aer Lingus(about 1hr 30 mins) and no distance from airport to centre of Nice (5mins taxi).

Good base too for visiting nearby Monaco, Monte Carlo and Cannes.
