My dad is giving me a gift of €20k for the balance of my house. My broker has said that he just signs a form saying that he is giving it to me and sign away his rights to any part of the house.

On my letter of offer it says something about bank statements showing the €20k. Do i have to do this before draw down? My broker says no, that the form signed by my Dad is enough.

Any advise please?

The bank only asked me for a letter outlining that the gift was non repayable.

how difficult would it be to lodge it from your dads account to your own and then pay out the deposit. could always open credit union account if own bank account not healthy! otherwise i would check with the bank,
