We are very interested in a site in our locality, however we think the owner wants to higher the price just because of who we are. We are considering getting a third party to agree a price on the site, pay the deposit and then sign/transfer over to us before completing contracts. Is it possible to do this legally and are there additional costs e.g.stamp duty?
