My washine machine has been in storage for about a year and it smells of damp on the inside. Any idea of how to get rid of the smell? I have tried running a wash cycle, but the smell is still there.
Bread soda (bicarbonate of soda) is brilliant for getting rid of smells. Put a cup of it in the washing machine - i.e don't turn on the washing machine,
just leave the bread soda there for a couple of days and it will absorb the smell.
try the 'how clean is your house' website - they honestly have great tips. I know that Kleeneze have a w. machine cleaner. I think a cup of white vinegar on a hot wash may work either...
