Getting rid of Moths

We seem to have moths in our wardrobe, the last few items of clothing I've taken out have holes in them. Anyone know how to get rid of them?

if you google "moth balls" there is some good info especially from Boards. Sorry i dont know how to provide links.

I haven't used them myself but am actually going to order some soon - Cedar balls or blocks or boards or rings (you can get some that slip over the top of your hanger) are supposed to be good. If you do a google you should be able to find some.

Went to a hardware store and got rentokil moth killer strips. Guy in the shop said the cedar balls were useless. We'll see if they work

I saw somewhere that if you put a cut lemon in a corner it should work - haven't tried, but anything worth a shot. Or leave a light on inside a wardrobe (a little stick on one) and they're drawn to that.

Small bits of cedar don't really work- moth killer strips are needed. Don't forget to replace them ( stick a reminder in your calendar). It is also a good idea to stick any important clothes you have into a freezer (stick it in a plastic bag first) - to kill any eggs already laid.

I was cursed by them. Before you can think about cedar and moth-paper strips, you need to get rid of the infestation. This is how I did it -
- get those sticky fly-paper strips - you can get them in the supermarket. They catch the existing ones - I was horrified how many were in my bedroom.
- hoover like crazy all the carpets - especially under furniture or a bed. That gets rid of the eggs, and should stop more hatching. The eggs look like rice grains.
- the moths breed on a three week cycle - so keep it up til you see a difference.

To be honest, that's really just it - then I got cedar wood balls and strips they sell for moths that look like paper. I don't know if those had much effect, but once I got rid of them all, I had cedar wood AND those strips, and didn't see a recurrance.
