getting rid of earwigs

Hello, would anyone have any tips for getting earwigs out of a ground floor apartment? I've had a few quotes from pest companies but I'd rather try and sort the problem myself before paying upwards of E200. Thanks.

In the garden you would use earwig traps ... upturned pots filled with straw on a cane for the earwig to crawl into at night ... you just dump them out in the morning (straw and all) ... don't know if this would work indoors but might be worth a try

How are they getting in? Like with ants and woodlice the best solution is prevention - e.g. plug any holes through which they enter. Most of these creatures don't normally make their homes in your home so look for the conditions in which they normally live and deal with them.
