Getting rid of back to education allowance?

I was thinking of applying for back to education allowance - IF i can - not having a great time with SW at the moment though...

anyway - has anyone heard that they are thinking of scrapping back to education allowance?? how true is it?

I don't think, in the current climate, that they will scrap the BTEA. It may be that they will even make it easier for people to qualify for it, in the next budget. After all, it doesn't not cost much more to have people on BTEA rather than JA and the stats look better. A person on BTEA is not on the LR and, therefore, 'not unemployed.' :rolleyes:
