Hi guys

I copied a jpeg from a back up disk onto my computer - the jpeg was created on a pc and is locked i.e has the little padlock icon on it. I have tried to delete it from my computer but it won't let me, I have also tried to move it into various folders but it copies itself into the folder so I now have about 5 of the same locked jpeg. Any ideas how to unlock it if it wasn't created on my mac?

Usually when im not allowed to delete a file it means there's aprogram using it.
Or Look at the attributes of the file. i.e. right-click on it goto "properties" and see if "read only" is selected, if so then deselect it. Maybe Macs are different. Try making it "read and write". I'm too familiar with macs though so just copy it and play around with it.

And remember, there's always google.

thanks - sorted the problem, didn't see the unlock icon!! - need to get to bed earlier!
