Getting Products from Websites which don't ship to Ireland

Anyone have any idea how to get products from websites that don't ship to Ireland? Is the only alternative to put my address down as a DHL office in that country and get DHL to then deliver it to me? That works out rather costly so I'd love to hear of any other ideas.

only thing I did once was to give my company's address in foreign country (c/o a colleague) and ask them to send it on....? Possible?

Thanks for the suggestions. My company doesn't have a foreign office and I want to ship from Germany rather than the States.
