Getting married in France

Hi, anybody out there been or know someone that got married in France, preferably Brittany?

I think you have to reside in the country for a couple of months before the wedding.

Yeah, one of the couple has to live there for 30(residency) days + 10(banns) days.

"All marriages must be performed by a French civil authority before any religious ceremony takes place. The mayor can authorize the deputy mayor or a city councilor to perform the ceremony in the town in which one of the parties to be married has resided for at least 40 days preceding the marriage.
