Getting house painted

Just wondering has anyone had their house painted recently and what rough costs were.
We have a 3 bed semi and want to get whole place painted, only skirting to be painted in one room and need to get bannisters done. Just looking for rough estimates of what others have paid recently and if anyone can reccommend a painter who did a good job?

We got a 4 bedroom house painted entirely throughout as well as a converted attic for €3k about a year ago in Dublin 13. We got an alternative price of nearly €6k so were happy with that, he also came recommended and did a great job. The price included the banisters, all doors, ceilings, walls, skirtings and wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms. For a 3 bed excluding attic, and with skirting in one room only you should get it closer to €2k I would imagine, for a professional painter.
