I'm just wondering myself and old partner are getting back together. I'm just wondering what we should be getting when we go down this week.
I'm doing a fas course and get 188, she's a career for her grandparents her nanny which has bad cancer and her grandad who's 82. She get's half the career's allowance because she on lone parents so should I claim for me and her and let her get the full career's money. I'm not to sure what she currently gets money wise.
When you get back together, your partner will have to stop her One Parent Family claim.
You may be better off as a family if your partner claims full Carer's Allowance - she should ask at the local SW office when she contacts them about her One Parent Family claim.
She can't get full rate carers allowance if your on social welfare. She has to give up her lone parents and then you can claim for her and her children. She will be able to keep her half rate carers allowance.
When you find work she will then be able to get the full rate carers allowance and you will also be able to apply for FIS as Carers allowance is not considered income by FIS.
