get some money back from management fee?

I paid €1850 of a management fee last year. Can I claim some of this back?

on what basis exactly?

I know you can claim bin charges but I'm not sure about management fees.

No allowance for management charges to the best of my knowledge unless it is a property that you are renting out.

Would it be considered a service charge provided by a private contractor?

If you can get a breakdown of the headline charge to find out what amount(s) went towards services (e.g. water, waste etc.) then you should be able to claim service charge tax relief on these up to any relevant caps/limits. Update - also there may be some useful info and (two sample searches whose results probably overlap quite a bit).

I checked this out myself and could only claim for the bin charges part. Had to first ask the management company for a breakdown of the management fees and rang the tax office to tell them the cost of the bin charges. They gave relief based on the phonecall for same.
