Gerry O Carroll had his column headlined "Now is the time for patriotism ... not protest", on Wed Nov 25 in the Herald. A couple of days ago on the radio, I could swear that I heard him warning the powers that be that the gardai are fed up to the hilt with being hit in the pocket and that the same powers that be would be foolish to cross them. I feel that this anomaly should be clarified by the retired double-jobber.

Indeed. But what I'm trying to say is that this anomaly should be put to him for clarification. Or is riding two horses at once another of his self acclaimed skills?
