Myself and some friends/clients are buying apartment blocks in Berlin and we are having problems getting progress with the German Banks. They are very slow and will not commit despite the fact that we are only borrowing 55% of the value of the building. Also they seem to work a very short week. We have buildings, investors, deposits, notaries, accountants, surveyors and management companies in place but no German Bank.Suggestions please either in post or PM format. Donation to AAM if problem solved.
 
are your notaries, accountants, surveyors and management companies in Germany ?
surely one of these would have a banking contact or contacts

I had the same problem when I first went to berlin. Refused credit by a few banks. Got in touch with the berliner Volksbank and they have given me finance for three properties over the last 18 months. They give about 70% of the purchase price of the building (actually got 79% on one building). They are fairly easy to deal with.
