Geographical name for largest landmass on earth?

Does anyone know the name (it must have one surely?) of the landmass which includes Europe, Asia, Africa etc........

I began to wonder this when I was thinking how quaint it is that we refer to a tiny corner of it as "The Continent"....
 
It was called Pangaea.

...but now is has no better name than Africa-Eurasia?

If this is the case, I think we should make one up a new one (who better qualified?)

(While we are at it, a new name for the "British Isles" perhaps?)
