Wrong forum Gaurantor of a loan

I went guarantor for a loan my relative got from a credit union five years ago. They have defaulted on the loan now and brought him to court and got a judgement against him. the CU are not summoning me to court as well.
my question are 1. can they summon two people for subsequent court appearences and 2. can I give notice to the CU that I no longer want to guarantee this loan.

If you mean can they pursue you as guarantor if your relative defaults on the judgement, the answer is yes they can.

I guess i will have to 'persuade' my relative to cough up and reach a settlement with the CU.
