Hi, my partner and I are looking at heating systems that can be installed without taking up the floors. We live in a ground floor apartment of an old converted house and currently have electric storage heaters which are not effective.

We would love to have gas heating and someone mentioned to us that it might be possible to install gas without ripping up the flooring. However, they didnt know how it worked.

We would be very grateful if anyone could shed some light on this or direct us to someone/website etc that could advise us.

Cheers

The only option then would be to run all pipe work over ground, along skirting, etc. Get a couple of installers out to give you a quote and see what they suggest.

Not sure what it is called but I saw skirtings advertised somewhere where the skirting was the actual radiator. Not sure what heat output you would get.
Otherwise, you would probably be able to run pipes behind somewhat thicker (and hollowed out) skirting.
