Hi,
I'm changing a gas back bolier which is set in a fire place to it's original purpose - coal fire.
A metal flue has been inserted into the chimney, can I leave this.
The exit of the chimney has a steel top with louvered sides, top is sealed, I plan to remove this as I imagine it may get blocked from soot.
Can I leave the metal flue in situ. It resembles the tubing used for extractor hood venting.
Cheers
