Hi All

I have arranged a trip for the missus and her parents departing next week. They are staying at the Hotel Grand Fasano on the western side of the lake at Gardone Riviera. They will be there for 3 days and intend to hire a car to do a tour around the lake. Can anyone recommend any must sees -either sights or villages or lake side restaurants anywhere around the Lake. Any particular stop off places. They are flying into Milan Linate and back out via Venice, staying there just one night. All help greatly appreciated.
 
There are boats [paddle steamers and faster ones] which ply the lake. There is a cable car or ski lift on the western shore in the northern part of the lake.
 
Don't know if they will have the time but the following are worth a visit:

Verona - also try to get to the Open air opera (if open) and Juilet's house.

Sirmione - lovely town and nice Resturants - try the ice-cream shops.

Lazise - another lovely town for a stroll also if I remember right a few nice wine shops.
 
You need to book in advance for the opera, I tink there was some posting on the subject recently.
