Garden Centre "specialising" in Water Features?

Hi there - I'm doing up my garden at the moment, and wanted to put in some form of a Water Feature. I used to visit 2 Garden Centres in Dublin - one in Kingswood, and one in Oldcourt - that seemed to specialise in Water Features. Both are now closed down it seems!!!

In particular - I'm looking to dig in a form of a trough, about 8 foot long, 2 foot wide, and maybe 18" deep. If I could get a pre-formed, rectangular water container that would do this trick then great!

But to help me in my search - can anyone else recommend some place that has a good variety and selection of Water Features, Ponds, etc? I know B&Q, Woodies and Atlantic all have Water Features but I am looking to get some ideas and suggestions from experts.

Thanks alot,

Rob

Hi,

Not sure what part of country - you're probably dublin based from reading tread but the Arboretum Garden Centre in Leighlinbridge, County Carlow has a good selection and it is a huge garden centre has won many awards - I think the deliver also. If you want the number I could look it up for you. I have no affiliation to the company.

There is a lovely garden centre in Kilquade county wicklow that has unusual and contemporary features as well as your normal " down to earth ones".
You could try there , i havent a web address but maybe try google.

Theres a garden Centre off the N2 (Ashbourne Rd) just beyond the M50 called Beech Vista. Was there a few weeks ago and noticed the water features.

I'd second the Arboretum in Leighlinbridge in Carlow also (no connection but it is in my locale) it does have a wide selection of water features.

We got everything for our water feature, pond, etc in the Ratoath Garden Centre- its off the new N2 just as you get to Ashbourne- head towards Ratoath- (alternatively coming from Ratoath go towards ashbourne- its on right just before flyover bridge on N2).
It looks small as you go in- but has all you need -very very helpful too.

Thanks for these suggestions - will start visiting them all! I'm in Dublin by the way - just amazed that the water centres in Old Court and in Kingswood have both disappeared! They were really great.

Thanks again

Try the Arboretum Garden Centre, just outside Carlow, on the Waterford bypass.

They have numerous water features for sale.

They have won numerous awards.

I live beside them.
