Given the high cost of GAA ticket prices and the falling attendances at all levels of the game in all counties (no facts but I'm fairly sure that this is the case), I think that the GAA should be asked by it's members to slash the ticket prices for the coming year or two.
I don't have anything against the GAA and hugely respect them for investing in their infrastucture when the opportunity arose. However, maybe it's time for Headquarters to put in a few quiet years and allow the game to become more for the ordinary people of Ireland.
If games (Club, County, Underage etc.) cost at most €10 each to get to, it might go a long way to helping the huge number of unemployed men (and women) in this country, to socialise and enjoy life a bit more in these hard times. It would also be great PR for the GAA at a time when it is faced with huge pressures from other sports.
I would have great faith in the medicinal powers of a group of friends, a good match, a flask of tea and some sandwiches !!
