Hi
I plan to open a standard PRSA in the next few weeks. Other than about 10k I have sitting in a Defined Contribuition / Group pension from Hibernian that I have from an old job and havent moved anywhere, I have no other pension to date and am 31. Given that I would plan to start by submitting a lumpsum of say 10k, and then begin a monthly contribution of 5-600 per mth would you recommend any particular fund over another at the moment.
I have reviewed the PRSA spreadsheet with all the funds, and I assume it's up to date. Also read some of the threads on the site. Very useful (at least, the parts I understood!)
I suppose given that Im relatively young I'm happy to take on quite a high risk pension but obviously want the flexibility to change that as I get older. I'm also happy to keep commissions to a minimum even if it means a no-advice type relationship with the pension provider.
I also want a fund where I can transfer the 10k from Hibernian into, assuming this is allowed ?
It would be useful to know what other questions I should be asking myself, so that I can ensure Im not missing anything before taking the plunge.
Many thanks in advance
