full pay maternity leave,then quit!

Hi everyone,
wife wondering if she can get full pay on maternity leave,
then quit,does'nt intend going back at all as further kids means one income family for us.
got full pay on first child.

check her employment contract on this some companies who pay full top up ,cover themselves by having a claw back clause. if the woman doesn't return and give a full year service. ie. return and leave before 3 months -75% of top up amount paid clawed back 6 months- 50% 9 months- 25% etc.
 
thanks.. just checked there is nothing in her contract or company handbook
 
We had a few that did that here (public service). They took remaining leave and public holidays after mat leave and they wrote letter of resignation - there was no claw back but some of the managers weren't too too happy.
 
just check that she doesn't have to return to work (token return) she may be required to give a period of notice to fulfill her obligations under her work contract. I know my sister did this and had to go back for two weeks and work out her notice. does she know any other women in the company who left like this ? might be worth giving them a call to make sure.
