Fuji F30 Digital Camera

Hi...

I'm looking to get a digital camera and was looking at the Fuji F30. Does anyone know if it is good or could anyone recommend a good digital camera?

The user reviews on Amazon are pretty positive; check it out on dpreview, too.

To sum up, the F30 is far and away the best low light compact camera on the market today, bar none.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Fuji cameras.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Fuji cameras.

I'm a big fan a Fuji myself... i have the F10 and am looking to get one for sister for xmas and was looking at the F30. Read some great review and also some bad ones - so now i am confused

I bought an F30 this year from Pixmania..very pleased with it.

Pros..
- Low light results are terrific
- battery life is amazing
- LCD screen crisp and sharp

Cons..
- Landscape Mode colours can be slightly artifical imho
- You have to buy an extra memory card.
- the battery life is achieved by virtue of the battery being slightly bigger than other brands - so it's compartively chunky.
- Supplied sw is slow and not the easiest to use

it doesn't have an optical view finder

bottom line, if you take alot of indoor / low light / night time shots, the F30 is probably the market leader (in its price range) at the moment..

Not impressed with Fuji. Took a picture of a group of 32 with a Canon A80 (4mp) last year, and somebody else took the same picture with a Fuji 5mp, both on the highest resolution and the difference in quality was incredible. The Canon left it for dead.
