Hi this is my first message. I was 66 last October got Contributary Pension, and after review I was awarded 37.50 for spouse in December. I applied for fuel allowance back dated to award date of pension. Spoke to a very helpful person in fuel allowance section, whom reviewed verified income of my pension and income of wife at 606 per week. I applied and after 8 weeks they want more details of other family in the house my 23 year old is in full-time education, I have a 33 year old on JSA. My married son, wife and 5 year old Grandson live here. Question = if you house your married family member, and they work is this class as possible income, for fuel allowance. Thank You !

Have a look here, at the section "who can I live with"

Thank you so much gipimann, I spoke with CI, they told me that a number of clients have been refused under the new 66 plus, have been refused because of married children staying in the parental home.
