I have a site with full planning permission to build a house. I have no other property and would today be classifed as a FTB. I am not planning to build on the site for another 12-18 months. In the meantime, I am looking to purchase an overseas investment property. My question is will I be entitled to FTB tax relief when I draw down my mortgage to build my home or will the purchase of an investment property in the interim disqualify me?
