Frustrating - Tax office.

Last year I spent some time with the tax office sorting out some allowances due to my son. He has just received his new certificate of allowances/credits for 05 and all the additional allowances that were sorted out have been dropped from his new certificate. I tried ringing them today to try and get these reinstated and their recorded message said "due to the huge number of phone calls received in respect of the issue of new tax credits certificates they are not taking any new calls for the time being". There are probably hundreds of people like me trying to again sort out again what they thought they had sorted out last year.

Just keep calling - you'll get through eventually.

I've found that emailing or writing to them works too.
