From Paris to Dubrovnik

My be-loved and I are planning a trip at the end of August.

W're flying to Paris, travelling south, then west across North Italy, into Slovenia and further on through Croatia.

4 weeks of travel and we're really excited about it.

Paris > Avignon > Nice > Florence > Venice > Ljubjlana > Bled > Zagreb > Split > Dubrovnik.

That's our rough itenary. Anyone been on a similar route or anyone have any tips for us?

That is a great trip. I did something similar a number of years ago but did not take near enough time to do it. The scenery in Italy, Austria and Slovenia is magic! No real tips..we stayed near enough the main roads because of time constraints but would have loved to stray further off the beaten track. Don't know if it would be worth investing in a sat nav system to make navigating easier.
