From Death Notification Form: AnPost

What do folk think of this message I've been getting every month from AnPost Mobile I 'm due to top up
my phone, over 2 years now I guess.


Phone text message as follows.


From DEATH NOTIFICATION FORM
Your monthly top up is due to expire on 23-10-24.
To top up go to the An Post website, select Mobile
and top up online or visit any post office or shop,
thank you, AnPost Mobile.

I think that's weird.

Sounds like a tech mixup or reuse of named numbers in their system?

I did a quick google but didnt find any other people raising it, which is weird for a general tech issue.

Could you have accidentally saved the contact number with that name, maybe autocorrect gone crazy or someone accessing your phone to wind you up.

Not my fault I can assure you. I will bung off an email with all the details tomorrow and see if I can get it stopped as it's not nice when it repeatable happens and your not young

On the ball, that is more or less what it was and I was asked if I had any phone entry under Death Notification which on checking I realised I did. That was 3 weeks ago and I deleted that
entry then to see if its gone from my phone on my next post mobile topup message which was yesterday.

And low and behold its all gone now! Strange how these things happen sometimes.
