From a company to jobseekers?

Hi

I am a contractor with a large multinational who had to set up my own Limited Company to become a contractor with them. My 6mth contract has finished and I am now looking to go back on the dole until I get something else, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.
Will it be difficult to claim the dole straight away? All my VAT and Income tax affairs are in order and have been paid online at ROS.ie.
But do i need to wait until the end of the tax year or anything like that to claim the dole?

If you have been a PAYE worker prior to your contract you may be entitled to JB. Remember the relevant tax year on which your claim is based is 2007.

Complete the application the JB application form and take it to SW with a copy of your 6 months contract (to prove that it has now ended)
