I'm losing the will to live. Bought a new fridge freezer in December 2012 when the old one died. Invested into a Zanussi model that does not need defrosting or so it says.
In april this year is started humming loudly, the fridge part was warm and the freezer built up ice. Took 2 weeks for a Zanussi engineer to come out, who replaced the thermostat with what he claimed was a much better one, I had to defrost the whole thing for 24 hours
Fastforward to yesterday and the same thing happens again. DID say engineer has to come out and look at it regardless. I have to take another day off from work, drive my frozen goods around the town to a friends house etc. and am unhappy to say the least. I want a new fridge ! Is that unreasonable ?

If it's exactly the same issue, you have a stronger case to seek a replacement. The legislation says the retailer has the choice of repair, replace, or refund, but where a fix is carried out, it should be permanent.
