I was cleaning out the house and found some old notes, French Francs and Dutch Guilder. Is there anywhere in Dublin that I can change them to Euro? I looked on the Central Bank website but they only do old Punt notes.
Thanks

I doubt it. Probably could at Dutch & French Central banks, but hardly likely to be worth it. Could you sell them on ebay or similar ?

Yes you can exchange them, but you will need to post them to the relevant central bank

Dutch - [broken link removed]

French -

That's intersting Berni, didn't know you could post them, i have a load of Italian Lira and Greek Drachma's 1000's of em, probalby worth about €2.50! ....I think the postage would cost me more! Anyway, I kinda like to keep them as souvenirs.

I had about €200 in Slovenian Tolar that I posted off & got exchanged last year.
The chap in the post office was a bit hesitant to let me post cash, and suggested a money order might be better. I had to explain that that would kinda defeat the purpose
