French doors

Howdy,
Anyone let us know a good place to go to get some French doors? We're in the process of getting a kitchen/diner extension built and part of the spec is French doors out to the garden. Mrs SComp didn't fancy the plain PVC doors specced out by the builder, so we're looking for somewhere to get a decent pair.

Also, anyone know how much A) a cheap PVC set of doors should go for, and B) how much for something half decent?

All help appreciated!

Recently renovated a room and wanted one wall of glass/ french doors. Got a quote from Marvin windows of 5000 ( we originally got all windows in house from them), and a quote from a local manufacturer of much the same. Ordinary french doors retail at around 800 to 900 for a double door set. Went to France and got four doors for 480- a wall of glass. But fitted them ourselves, and think the 900 for one set of double doors would probably include fitting.

Sorry, should have said all prices are for hardwood as this was part of our planning permission/

Thanks!
I'm still not sure what we want - hardwood sounds nice, but I’ve heard there's some decent looking (and hardwearing) PVC options these days - do they sell them in hardware stores or anywhere with a showroom as far as any1 knows? We’re in Dublin south central
