French doors

We're contemplating buying a 2nd hand house and one of the jobs that we'd like to do on it is to take out a large window onto the back garden and install French doors, and do something similar to the wall between the dining and living room. (a block wall). Has anyone done anything similer in the past and what would be the ballpark cost?

The french doors to supply and fit could range from basic 4/5k to 8/10k depending on the type you want.

The other room wouldn't be as much.That work should stand you circa 1.5/3k, again depening on the type you chose.
