freeview box for irish digital TV

Hi,

i'm looking to buy a cheap freeview box that will pick up the RTE channels.
one that connects to an aerial, not the satelitte.

any recommendations.

i had got free off a friend a Labgear vf300 box, but it is only mpeg-2, so it only has sound, no picture.

i'm told irish cannels need mpeg-4 freeview box.

At the moment, the roll-out of freeview has not been decided - see here http://www.rtenl.ie/dtt.htm for more details. I think it would be prudent to wait for more details.

If anybody is buying a newTV make sure it's MPEG4.

You will not need a "box" if MPEG4.
