Can anyone recommend a free web design site for a novice about these things?

Also how do I get cheap hosting? I have bought a domain name.

How do I merge the web design into the domain and into the hosting?! Confusing!

You sign up for hosting and you set your info up there so your domain name points to your website.

I wouldn't go for free hosting - full of ads and looks unprofessional.

Some Irish companies you could consider; Let's Host, Blacknight. Google 'irish web hosting' and you'll get loads more.

You could set up your site using the WordPress platform - very easy to use and manipluate.
