Just to let you know there is a completely free software you can download from http://www.sage.ie/shop/sage_for_free.html just launched called 'Sage Planning for Business'. It has tasks and actions to help you create a business plan, from concept, to financial information. It's developed for Irish business with links to Irish websites and government agencies that can help with each section. The final business plan structure was decided with consultation from all the major Irish banks, so it should provide a good start when looking for funding.
It also has a 'trade and review' section, which you can link with Sage Instant Accounts once your company is up and running, so you can pull information into the accounts from your business plan, and look at your business plan targets, and check with what actually happened.
