Tons of messaging apps around that run on a variety of devices and computing platforms, but I think this one is a bit different as it exchanges and stores encrypted messages (text, pictures, etc) between registered users for free.
The difficulty with broadcasting "en clair" with emails and other messages is that they will be intercepted and read by bots and snoopers before they reach their intended recipient. Stuff like PPSNs, addresses, bank account details and other sensitive data will be stripped out and stored by whomsoever has the (relatively) simple intercept technology.
This freeware enables free, secure, confidential messaging between, for example doctor and patient, solicitor and client, family members or other private groups of people.
It's all explained on the web-site. I have no connection with the developer other than as a user of their free software (they have commercial offerings as well, but I am not a customer).
