Fraudulent Bank Withdrawl

Hi All - I just discovered that over the weekend several withdrawls were made through my AIB bank account. Bank has verified that the charges appear to be suspicious and will follow up -

Am I liable for all these withdrawls? Total: 500.00 in smaller amounts.

were they from your current/cashsave or credit card account? very worrying

I would expect that you would not be liable unless you were negligent. What do the terms & conditions of your account say about such fraud? How were the withdrawals made? If by (e.g. skimmed or otherwise compromised) ATM/Laser/CC card then have you cancelled the cards? Have you reported the incident to the Gardaí as well as the bank?

Current account. €150.00 one week and then a rash of them over the weekend. I only discovered it cause I was trying to buy my lunch at Dunnes and my laser was declined. Rang the husband to bitch him out and he told me to look at the online transaction.

Argh.
