France setting up new apartment

I am finalising the purchase of a new apartment in Cagnes Sur Mer and would need information on setting up utilities, furnishing and all the work relating to getting up and running. Would love to chat to others who have gone through the process and discuss least painful way of getting things done. I have only quite limited french and am a bit apprehensive about dealing with tradesmen, companies etc

Hi Dakra,

I know you can get relocation agencies in the area to sort out all of this for you, otherwise the syndic of your building can help but in general they only speak French. Are there any other English speaking neighbours? They might have some info for you or whoever you bought through may be able to point you in the right direction. It is quite difficult to get anywhere with tradesmen without being onsite to check things out.
